Quick start - Video CDN [EN]
To start instantly distributing your content via the Video CDN, log into your user panel account and create your first resource in 3 easy steps.
Step 1. Create a resource
Firstly, you need to create a resource. Upon logging into the user panel, select the Video CDN section in the navigation panel on the left side of your screen. You’ll be taken to the new Video CDN resource creation page.
Enter your Resource name in the corresponding text field to identify it.
Add the Resource folder name, representing a path to your resource within Video CDN storage. Folder names must not contain spaces. Use / (slash) for folder nesting.
Click the Create Video CDN Resource button to confirm.
Step 2. File Import setup
Upon clicking the “Create your Video CDN Resource” button, your resource is created and associated with the selected folder, and you are taken to the file import setup page.
It is crucial to configure at least one file import method right away to start using Video CDN. Here we’ll show the two most popular methods, cloudstorage and rsync, but you are free to use other options available.

Add any video file to test your resource in action right away.
Rsync
For a point, let’s consider that we have a server, example.com, with rsyncd installed. On this server, there is a user named foo with the password bar, who can share the folder /tales-as-stories. The resulting string will be:
rsync://foo:bar@example.com/tales-as-storiesYou should choose Import from: Rsync and put the credential string into the form.
Leave the toggle Fetch URL: Off, yet.
Click Save changes and Go to domains.
Cloud Storage
It would be nice to have Cloudstorage bucket created before this step. Otherwise, you’ll need to create the bucket on the way.
You should choose Import from: Cloud Storage, your existing bucket from the list, and the path to the desired folder in the bucket.
Click Save changes and Go to domains.
Do not forget to upload the content to the bucket you’ve set.
Step 3. Domain setup
The next step is to configure the domain that will be used for sharing your content. See the next screenshot:
Copy System domain value to your notes. This is an automatically generated domain name you may use in your project.
If you’d like to use your own domain names, see the feature Custom Hostnames.
Click the Go to resource button.
Profit
That’s all. The system has received all the settings needed, and in a couple minutes your content will be available at edge nodes.
