Timeline & Deadlines - Public Cloud [EN]

Q1. What happens if I don't migrate before the deadline?

If you don't move your projects before the service shutdown date, your websites and applications will stop working and access to the server will be closed.

  • Websa Cloud shutdown in the European location (Amsterdam) is scheduled for July 30, 2026.

  • The shutdown date for the US location will be communicated separately.

Q2. Can I get an extension on the migration deadline?

At this time, no extension of the general shutdown timeline is planned.

You're welcome to discuss your situation with our team via ticket - we'll do our best to find the most workable solution within the available technical and operational constraints.

Q3. When exactly will my current VM stop working?

Your current VM in the European location will be shut down:

  • after a successful migration and switchover to the new platform (once you confirm the transition went through); or

  • on July 30, 2026 - if migration has not been completed.

The shutdown date for the US location will be communicated separately.

Q4. Will I receive reminders before the deadline?

Yes, we'll send you advance reminders via ticket as the deadline approaches.

You'll receive a notification one month before the service is shut down and a follow-up reminder 7 days before.

We also recommend marking the date in your calendar yourself - that way there's no chance your resources go offline unexpectedly.

Q5. What happens to my data after the deadline?

Once the service is shut down, access to your data and servers will be closed and your websites and applications will stop working.

For technical purposes, we retain a snapshot of your server for 30 days after shutdown - as a safety net for unforeseen situations. After that, the copy is deleted automatically and permanently.
See section 8.6 of the Master Service Agreement: 8.6 Master Service Agreement:

8.6 For technical purposes only, the Supplier may back up the Customer’s Content. The Supplier makes no warranties or guarantees of any kind, either express or implied, as to the integrity and timeliness of these backups.

Important: this copy exists for internal technical purposes only and is not a substitute for a proper backup. We strongly recommend making your own backup of all data before the shutdown date.

You may opt out of having a backup created by notifying support via ticket before the server is deleted.
